Spaceship Android takes a trip to the beach. "Somewhere Along the Coast" is fun outrun in the sun with a disco beat that drifts in and out. "The Signal" begins with a lo-fi sound then cuts to normal with a spacey, astral sound. "Cruise" is another fun track that switches bakc and forth between funk and outrun with some nice guitar work. "Saw Her Yesterday" is my favorite, though, a slice of teen dreams with a bittersweet edge. Unrequited love? A past romance? The music's tone only tells so much. kmxexii
THIS style retrowave is why I got into synthwave 9 years ago in the first place. in a single word?? FUN. Synthesizers are meant to be used the way they're used by artists like Michael Weber, SelloRekT LA Dreams, Android Automatic, Betamaxx, Droid Bishop, etc.. great stuff! Shane Dangers
Here kitty, kitty! The synthwave genius returns with a whole new batch of hooky, metal-edged songs that are more fun than a ball of yarn. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 11, 2022
Inspired by ’80s John Hughes films and the sights & sounds of Miami, the latest from Zak Vortex is a balmy summer synthwave dream. Bandcamp New & Notable May 23, 2022
finally got around to listening to the entire album and of course it's great. Android Automatic is a leading retrowave producer since before "synthwave" as a term came into being.. Shane Dangers
